I want to start editing halo 1 again and what's the best thing to start on than a community movie!?

I am not looking for the best footage ever, but the kinds that are clutch and would be enjoyable in a video.

If you have clips just send them to me over aim The Technologic or upload to filefront and PM me the link. Please have what name you want in the video on your video file name along with what type of clip it is.

Ex:
Domino - camo 3shot

Something like that. Kinda keep it oganized. Also, PLEASE have good quality. Doesn't have to be godly, but good enough to view. If you want to improve your quality, just IM me and ill help ya out.

I am a good editor, so don't worry about that. Been editing since 05 =)

I hope you like this idea. I'm sure it would be a VERY good video if we pull this off.

Since we got that thing on October 2nd, we could get a good bit of people recording.

this just hit me.

if thing does happen then we could post it everywhere. has like a pwnall intro in the beginning and w/e. might bring more traffic here and MAYBE get some new players willing to try out xbc.

I dont understand why people dont like XBC. I mean, I have live now and I dont use XBC anymore because of its lack of players but when it was more popular XBC imo was way better than live.

well if they just made halo 1 on xbox live in the first place there would be no need for xbc but since halo 1 didnt have live everyone just used xbc and yes it is better but in the long run xbl wins for everything else but we would say that if halo 1 was on live and we wouldnt even be having this discussion right now

the main reason why people don't like xbc h1 is because of the offhost lag. I got someone to join (black lotus) and he's going to start playing again. going to show him the ropes and w/e

Not quite good enough yet for a montage. However the pwnall intro could be really cool. Would it be something like H3F? But yeah, I like this idea.

Domino- I IM'd you but i think you were away..any suggestions for a program that can convert from .vob to something that can be used in WMM? I'm using this shitty program now but it kills the quality...it's to the point where I don't even wanna post it
and my cap card (dazzle 100 dvd recorder) only caps in .vob

DVD Decrypter is what i've always used... not sure if this is the shitty program in question tho. It will convert to avi. which you then need to import into Windows movie maker. Then save/render into a wmm.

get virtual dub and record with that. i have never heard of a .vob before XD

.vob is what dvd's use for their video format. There are definitely some good video conversion programs, but I haven't used one in a while so I can't think of any off the top of my head.

EDIT: VirtualDub was good at converting stuff if you know how to use it well.

thanks for the help everyone...i think i figured it out, im gonna stop hijacking this thread. once i convert everything from the last lan i'm going to put it up online. thanks!!
