One year ago, a great movement towards the rebirth of competitive Halo: Combat Evolved was made. One year later, it's still just as dead in the water as before. Now, I would have loved for Pwnall to get off of the ground, but it seems to be all but dead. It's sad really, but it was a nice run. Rest in piece, Pwnall.

I just registered on the 23rd, which was apparently the anniversary. It sucks that the site has gone inactive.

I used to play Halo 1 a lot on XBC before H2, but I stopped pretty much when H2 came out. Anyways I decided to start playing again. I installed XBC, and played a couple matches before I found this site. I didn't even know there were custom maps for Xbox, so I decided to soft-mod my Xbox yesterday so I could play them. They look great, but there's no one around to play them with. :(

What's your handle on XBC, I'll play the new maps with you.

Halo 1 isn't dead.

No disrespect to the creators intended (because any effort on h1 is appreciated), but I've talked to plenty of active h1 players that never cared for this website. The scene is really kept alive over aim or cell #'s, and mbgaming.com

The fact that the forums were down for what seemed like months and the bots spamming the forums and pm's didn't help.

But like I said, anything that brings attention to h1 is a good thing.

True. Mbgaming has been the biggest community to live through H1's decline. Most of the H1 community goes there for its fix.
