Why do some maps seem to have more than others? After playing on component this weekend and being able to see my shots, collision errors started to really piss me off. Battle Creek, Uplift, and Exhibit seem to have the most.

Also, the invisible wall in Dammy by the healthpack near shotgun spawn pisses me off!!

Battle Creek always feels pretty iffy to me.

I'm not so sure that's an invisible wall. My lan buddy claimed that "invisible wall" was costing him kills for a while, and I had no clue what he was talking about, until I investigated. Those purple covenant barrel things, just in the doorway, if you shoot them, the bullet hit has a different animation, and it makes it look like there is an invisible wall, but there's not. Some textures just have an animation that makes it look like the bullet is stopping right in front of your face (example: the ramp in Exhibit leading up to the clock). Of course you could be thinking about a different area completely in which case, my bad.

That's where I'm talking about....I swear there's an invisible wall though! If I'm under invis shooting someone in the doorway, I feel like my shots never register. This could either be caused b the invisible wall (probably not because of your explanation) or by me freaking out because I think there's an invisible wall and I end up shooting like an idiot
Battle Creek, Exhibit, and Uplift definitely were the most noticeable, and only noticeable to me on splitscreen component....just making sure I'm not crazy: )

Can someone else confirm BC's iffyness? /maybe fix it?

Im pretty sure that happens where the map is separated into "zones". The one I notice the most is the Dammy one. (next to healthpack past shotguns). Im positive there is only a "graphical" collision detection though. The bullet registration can go through because Ive killed people through them before. (plus you can walk and nade through). It only makes it look like they stop, which can screw up ur aim, because you don't know how much to lead etc.

It's the purple barrels. Go load up Damnation and shoot the purple barrels in the doorway. It looks like there's an invisible wall, because the animation of the bullet hit flashes HUGE.
