Well i just recently installed windows 7 64bit and right away i was scared to even try xbc lol. So as i expected it didnt work by default so this is what i did. I dont know if there are tutorials out there and what not but i figured this may help SOMEONE even if this is common knowledge. This may possibly work for vista idk ive never had it.

So when i went to run XBC my computer was missing the NPPTools.dll and thats not a big deal at all.

Just download this
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/npptools.zip?0VIgXHYFdR

and put it in "C:\Windows\system"

Now THAT problem is fixed you dont need to register the .dll or anything. Now the second problem i had was my winpcap wouldnt work. So i found a working version of winpcap http://www.filecluster.com/download-link-0/62429.html

When you go to install it, right click, then properties and go to the "Compatibility" tab. Once you have done that check off "Run this in compatibility mode For:" and then select Windows XP service pack 3". After your have done that look below that near the bottom and check off "Run as an Administrator". Install it and you should be all set.

If you are missing more .dll's just google the exact name of the dll you're missing and download them and put them in the directory that it says in the readme they come with.

***Side Knote***
You may need to disable user account control by going to Start/Control Panel/System and Security/Action Center/Change User account control settings/... once you're there just lower the thing to no security. I also have my firewall off. Not sure if this matters just incase. Once again sorry if this is common knowledge im new to windows7.

Not common knowledge to me. And I too kept getting the NPPTools.dll alert. Thanks for the tutorial, I'll probably use this.
