What's a good length for a montage?

I myself like montages that are around 5 minutes. Keeps it short, and ensures the best gameplay(hopefully). Though depending on the editing, I wouldn't mind if it was longer(CoN2 is one of my favorite tages and that's pretty long).

If syncing goes with the song though I wouldn't mind longer. I hate montages that are over 10 minutes and have average gameplay, when the average clips could be cut and have 5 minutes of great footage.
