I would sit down and tinker with this myself but I dont have 4 controllers. When playing a game type that is 3v3+ players what are the factors that decide the spawn? Example: In a 3v3 match, lets just say the map is hh. One player is dead, and the other two players are on opposite sides (neither are standing on a random)... wtf happens?

This is why 3v3+ is kind of lame. If everyone on your team is on a random the dead partner HAS to random. Besides that I think the game selects one of your players and spawns based on his position. But I don't think it'll randomly select a person who is on a random spawn if another person is on the map where the game has a known spawn point.

you can find a explanation of the spawn system here ^^
i think this will help you..
but the system is very unpredictable in 3v3 or 4v4s without good comunication between teammates

I'm pretty sure the system functions the same just with more potential spawn points due to a larger area to find a spawn. That is, when a player is on spawn the system looks at the other players and seaches for a spawn within an invisible spawn bubble(which I believe is 15m in all directions) if no spawn is found the system randomly selects an avaiable(no one is standing on/near it) spawn point. If one is found that spawn is almost guaranteed(I say almost because there is always a small percentage of a chance that the game will select a random for no reason at all, even when spawns are available). If multiple spawns are available then the closest one to your teammate becomes the most likeley(has the highest percentage possiblility) and every spawn point further away from that one has a lower possibility of spawning there and the lowest percentage possibility is a random. In the case that you have 2, 3, 4 or however many teammates the teammates would be given equal "weight" and the spawn closest to a teammate would be the most likely spawn, then the next closest would be the second most likely(and this could be on a different teammate). Hope this clears things up feel free to ask if you need more clarification.
