The 360 has some noticeable skipping and lagging issues because of the emulator but the controller is common place now a days.

The original box doesn't have the skipping issues but the controller may take a little getting used too if you have been gaming on the 360 for a while.

You're right, way too much lag, especially during critical fights. The controllers are a slight issue, but thye're fairly easy to get the hang of. The nice thing about the 360 is that you can actually download the full game from xbox live. You don't have to worry about using a game disc.

Man, the original is so much better for h1. I remember you were the black sheep if you showed up to a h1 lan with a 360 when they came out.

It's not H1 if you don't play it on the original Xbox's.

I remember velcro-ing walmart stop watches to my memory card for the controller before the 'talking timer' came out. Which I wouldnt mind having right about now, never bought me one.....
But yea, def original Brick box all the way.....

OG big black box all the way.

Either with the smaller S-type controllers or with the big fatty.
It's the way H1 should be played.

its actually an advantage playing on the original xbox. The graphics card is alot worse so therefor their head isnt as defined as it would be on the 360, so TECHNICALLY their head is slightly bigger on xb1. That and the fact that the 360 freezes here and there if you play h1.

Original xbox. I had to play on a 360 for a couple months while at college a couple years ago and I will never, ever play H1 on a 360 again.

Original xbox all the way. The skipping issue on the 360 really sucks. I still have 4 original xboxs hanging around. I even have a brand new S controller still in the box, man those thumbstick nipples feel good on fresh controllers!

Yeah we have been toying around with this for a while and were pretty sure that our tournaments are going to have the original box because there are some serious issues with the 360 running halo.

Voted OGBox, but if I can't find a Duke controller, then I prefer 360.

I still have a Duke in the package for when the two I use finally give. I've completely worn out the joysticks on two dukes in the past 3 years.

Note: I do loosen up the joysticks (melt the resistance a bit), so that prolly helps. :D

Original Xbox. Tried it on the 360 before when a friends box died at a LAN. The original box won every game. 360 just felt so weird. Game was meant to be played on original box!

I really cant stand the 360 skipping like that, cuz it always happens at the wrong time. Like when im about to melee someone in the back, or a just jumped off a ledge to kill someone with a rocket and then all of a sudden, they are gone  So OGBox all day baby!!!

I haven't use a game disk in years. All my Xboxes are modded and have Halo CE, Halo 2 CE, and three other Halo map packs on them. Faster loading times and the least lag you can get.

I also forgot to mention that we will be using the new maps at our tournaments so the original box modded is what were going to do. Even though i love the 360 wired controller, the original box for h1 is hands down the best.

i've successfully converted two 360 h1 players back to playing on the OG.

360 is stupid. all the "i dont have a Duke/S-type" and the "i dont have an og xbox" excuses are ridiculous, it's not that hard to find them, unless you're a tight-stick loving Duke user.

I definitely play on my original (i still have the 1st one i got in '02. the puppy won't give up for nothing). It just feels right playing it on the original box, and I feel better about myself. It also provides better results, despite the controler difference.

gotta be the orginal big brick box. playing on the 360 just feels....dirty. it feels like i'm cheating on my girlfriend. i just get that "you know this is wrong you asshole" feeling if i put halo 1 into a 360.

i managed to find a brand new (almost) s controller at gamestop a few weeks ago for $15. the buttons don't stick and the sticks still had the little bumps on top. i was very pleased :)

What does that have to do with the hit boxes??
