Accidental rocket reload glitch

At the 4 minute rocket in this video, the reload glitch occurs with the rocket accidently. Jeenyus fires two rockets, attempts to reload, but is killed. The next time the rocket is picked up, it's full.

I wonder how often this happens? Has anyone seen this occur during tourney play?

Yeah that's a known trick. Pretty gay, cheap, illegal(get banned from tourneys if you do this) thing to do though. Was fine here since it was an accident, but don't go doing it on purpose!

When you need to reload you press:
X,X, then pick up another weapon, after you hear the reload sound effect from the one you just dropped, pick it back up.
the clip you just emptied will be replenished.

works with any gun.

Definitely lame, definitely non-competitive if done on purpose. It's kind of an unspoken rule that you don't do this on purpose while playing. But I have seen it happen by accident on multiple occasions. Back in the summer when we lanned a lot at my house, I can remember it happening quite often when we killed someone at just the right moment. I actually remember losing a Prisoner game because of an accidental reload glitch.

It's funny to do with the needler with one round in the chamber and one in reserve. As it with reload over and over untill the clip is full, Inwhich every time it does it you you see a new needle pop up out of the top of the gun.

I just noticed this thread, and I looked at the clip. Here's what happened.

I fired two rockets and thought I backpack reloaded. When I pulled them out the 2nd time (empty) I noticed they were still empty so I knew I needed to pull the pistol back out. I backpack reloaded and was killed by a nade before my pistol was even fully out. I think I heard the rocks reloading right now with my headphones on. When I went back to pick them up they were full (which I'm betting I didn't even notice then since I never noticed it until it was pointed out here). Pretty weird. Didn't know that was possible.

I always thought "X,X, Dying" was the same as "X, X, X." I've had rockets reload on the ground countless times. In fact it's a pretty common occurance when I LAN at home.

Yeah I've had it happen a few times. Just wanted to come in here and clear it up that I wasn't trying to cheat haha

It's funny that after 5 years people still didn't know about the glitch. Happens alot at our lans as well - and we even call it out - we always called it Re-Re - in other words, when it happens we say rockets are re-re'd
