The Maps that have been converted here are mostly from Halo PC.
If you noticed when Halo was released on the Xbox it has 13 playable maps available for multiplayer.
Now when Gearbox released Halo PC they had 19 multiplayer maps which left the Xbox version 6 short.
These 6 maps are now available for Xbox along with 7 additional maps that I converted from the single player campaign.

I like to introduce HaloMaps v2, yes it's finally here! This project has been in the works for well over a year.
I have to say the only reason I thought about or even went about doing v2 was because of all the outstanding responses I got from the v1.
I would like to thank everyone in my community for their patience;
I know this was a long drawn out process, but wait until you play these maps.

This is the Halo1 mod that everyone has been waiting for.
This is a revamped and redone version of Hizlo's original Halo1 Bloodgulch AI mod, with AI spartans.

The AI have been completely redone by me, they are now spartans, and naturally the armor's color changes based on their team, they shoot, throw grenades, get in the gun of your hog, and of course, the biggest improvement...drive.
They aren't the best drivers in the world, but they usually do pretty good. The AI will have whatever weapon is set in the gametype,
if you set the gametype to rocket CTF, they will have rockets if you set it to snipers, they will have snipers, and every other possible weapon, they have been specially designed to use each weapon effectively,
they will shoot the sniper from far away, and wait until they are up close to use the shotgun. The AI spawn points, the vehicle spawns and the weapon spawns are the same as the original, but the AI are new, and so is the gameplay.

Every time you are going to play any map pack in system-link start up any map from that pack in split-screen first. It’s so temporary files are copied to your Xbox hard drive. Otherwise your Xbox might freeze when entering or starting a system-link match, or give you a dirty disc error

Maybe i could contribute a 6 mappack iso.

The Halo Reconstruction pack. Has all the mappacks on one iso. it's very good.

Yeah there is. But I am absolutely horrible with this kind of thing. I'm scared that I would mess something up and since I only have 1 working original xbox I'm not willing to take that chance.

So I guess I'll just wait until the chance to get a second xbox comes along.

not hard if you just follow the instructions. there's no way you could go wrong.

just follow the tutorial and don't go off track and skip shit and you'll be fine.

I know my problem. I thought we were talking about hardmodding. I'm pretty sure I can handle softmodding. My bad:o

I have three of these map packs on all four of my LAN xboxes. The V1 and V2 map packs are pretty good. I really like Camtrack on the V1 pack. I also have the CCE map pack, but some of those maps just.......well, suck. Like OA, Oceans Apart. WTF?

Are there any other good multi-player map packs worth having?

I've made some small changes to my original Halo maps. Added a few trees, shrubs, and rocks to Blood Gulch, (for cover, I think it helps). I took some of the spread out of the AR and increased its range. Added range to the plasma rifle. Added a little range on the pistol and gave it a 4X scope.(still says 2X), Took the range limit off the sniper and made it a 10X scope. Basically if you can see it, you can hit it. Sped up the tank just a little. Gave the Warthog a faster reverse. Sped up the rocket just a bit. Just little changes that I thought would help. Most people don't even seem to notice them.

I Added a couple of trees to Sidewinder and moved the tanks away from the base. Other than that its the same map.

And on Battle Creek, I made the needler a better tracking, faster exploding weapon. Its almost worth picking up. Almost. :)

I know my problem. I thought we were talking about hardmodding. I'm pretty sure I can handle softmodding. My bad:oBoth are pretty easy though... shouldn't mess up either one. :p

Well I know of a few being worked on (not that MLG one) aswell as a new updated Halo AI. Thats when certain features get added to Arsenic, same goes for the Halo 1 Campaign system-link mod.

Some one could always go and get permission from the authors of Halo 2 remakes and put them togather in a map pack, awell as make any fixes if needed

making new maps makes all the sense in the world...but why fix something thats not broken...that was mainly the problem with h2 and h3...if all the weapons and gravity effects were left alone...they would pwn...just my 2 cents....make some maps! :)

Well, its a long story. We have been playing the same maps for 7 years and most of the guys that come to my LANs were kinda of bored with Halo 1. I mean, we used to play twice a week for the first 3 years or so of Halo 1, then we cut it down to once a week. Still that is one hell of a lot of games of Halo.

After thousands of games of Blood Gulch, I couldn't help noticing that when you spawned near the base, and there was a enemy tank or warthog there, you might be able to make it inside the bottom of the base, but you won't have anything with any kind of range on it. So you are pretty much dead, because the other team will send someone in to find you, or if you go outside.......Boom! Dead!. So added range and a 2X scope to the plasma rife and AR. I added range to the shotgun. To give you a better chance against a sitting tank or multiple enemies.

The rocks I added are actually always there in every BG map. They were just below the surface, Apparently whoever built the map pushed them down before they finished the map. I just brought them up. The trees and shrubs I added, lend some cover. But they don't interfere with the "road" through BG.

I also moved the spawn points around a little, so that it wouldn't be so predictable to people that normally know where they are. Does it make it better, maybe. I like the changes. Some of the guys didn't like them at first, but most do now. Some of them still have no idea I changed anything. And yes I told them, but they have probably forgotten by now. I made the changes quite some time ago. Its really only BG that has them and we only play it three or four times in a LAN night.

Oh, I might add that I'm not bright enough to make completely new maps. I can barely alter the existing ones. I keep thinking that if I was about 30 years younger, I might be able to figure out how all this stuff works. :)

I also had problems with the way the Death Island map was made. Whoever did it should never have put 16 of each kind of vehicle on the island. It makes it lag like crazy. Four of each vehicle would be plenty. Just saying.

Yeah Hizlo went over board with the vehicles, but as he said it was way worse before when he was first working on the map. even when playing on race were one vehicle gets spawned per person at the stating point, there are manying groups of vehicles scattered olong the beach.

It's the render distance aswell for that map. Because there is no visible barrier on the outter area (wall,cliff side, ect), so the game has to render that massive openness of the ocean when you look out at it. Same goes when flying the banshee high above the map. Too much stuff being rendered at once so the frame rate takes a dive. Another example is Halo Spartan AI, when alot of bots are driveing around at once.

What could be done is to take a screen shot of the ocean part of Death Island and make it in a skybox, then set the the skybox just outside the invisible wall, that is the barrier of the map which is 15-20 meters out into the water in any direction from the beach.

If I knew what you were saying and how to do it, I would. ;)

No I kind of get it. I find programing or even map modding much harder than soldering or repairing micro-circuits. I can solder a header and install a chip in very little time, but trying to get a soft mod to work right or burning a working ISO is really hard for me. I'm learning, but I'm an old dog and we don't like to learn new tricks.

Hey hoboe, thanks for all the stuff, but i have a few questions, were those h2 maps made for h1 xbox?

I have been waiting for links like this ever since i figured out how to mod and FTP my box, BUT the links i wanted like BG AI didnt work for me so i was so bumbed!!

Can you help me please i really just want to play the AI sparten one!

Edit*** Hey is the "normal" bg map the one that is good for ctf because the spartans didnt go get the flag.

The other multiplayer map links didnt work either, was hopin you could give me those links too, thanks alot this is awsome been waiting along time and didnt even know that other peeps were makin maps too!!!

Update: i noticed on the video of spartan AI, the player was fullscreen, yet when i tried to do system link it said no further maps, im guessing i can only play split screen? which is cool im just making sure im not missing anthing.

Hi I'm new to this forum and I need to ask a few questions. How do I download these map packs to my Xbox 360? If I play Xbox Live on my Xbox, will it get banned? Should I get a different Xbox 360 just for these maps, or can I use my original one and not get banned? Also, can someone please list all the map packs that were made for Halo CE for Xbox, with download links, and do I need a new UI for these maps, because I like the original one?
