I live in Coralville, IA which is right next to Iowa City. I still LAN with the Wichita, KS crew, which has included players like Harris, Rippon, Darkstar, Canada, Shaypun, Puckett, Darkman, Alex, Bonesaw, Vodka, Castor, Nappy D, Frolic, Doboy, Gawdsend, Buu and Prophleet to name a few. I also LAN with people in Iowa...my LAN crew here is being resurrected soon for a HUGE three day LAN. It's invite only, but includes Cupid, Raistlin, Monk, Oopey, Guyver X, Buzztafunk, LoccoPollo, Wonderus, Oddball, Nevermind, Greelanx, Crazy Hippie, Beshwangee, Mr. Smiley, Smilez P, J Dot, N(u)B Natcho who is flying in, Vodka who is bringing a few people, Flint, Genocide, and Blazer. I've also lanned a lot with CPH Morpheus, Goat, Legolas, Mr. Duck, TheHansBecker and BAR Jake and Gangsta. I live a lot closer to Champaign, IL now and I'd like to hit up a Yogi/Savage LAN soon because I hear they are sick. Hit me up if you'd like to plan an Iowa/Illinois LAN. I have many Halo:CE friends as you can see. I'll never let Halo:CE die...that is my solemn vow.

We actually have a pretty solid group of about 8 or 9 that still play halo 1 pretty frequently, as much as we can anyway. I could probably get a group of 4 to go pretty much anywhere, maybe more....

I miss playing you on XBC NextToGodly...I always played on your host. I don't think I ever won a game, lol, b/c of redonkulous host sniper. I believe OJ though...that game wasn't to show how bad he did with a noob partner. It was to show how unfair host XBC is. I just put together a SICK LAN! Around 30 people came and it could have been closer to 40 of 50 with proper permission. I'll try to send a link with pictures.

Are Chaos and NoUse in your LAN group? When I attended St. Olaf (Northfield, MN) I met those 2 and a 3rd who I can't remember. They came to Iowa once for an all weekend LAN. Would enjoy playing with those guys again.

I live in Western Nebraska and I still host a Halo CE ( what I call Halo 1 ) LAN every Saturday night at my house. My Halo buddies and I have been getting together since 2001.

We tried playing Halo 2, but it sucked so much. Halo 3 was better, but still not as good as the original. So most of my sat. nights involve a whole lot of Halo CE team slayer.

Ya I definitely think I can get a group together for this. Just figure out some possible dates that work for you guys and send em my way. I don't know much about SonofSam and them but I do know most of the SCSU group. I don't know who all ran with Son of Sam, but I know Air America beat Son of Sam to take the championship in the first Halo LAN at St. Cloud State University. I'm pretty sure they didn't know each other before that LAN. I don't know if they ever played after that LAN or not. I don't think Air America plays H1 anymore. However, here in St. Cloud we do have a pretty solid group of guys. We don't play as much as we used to anymore though. I used to be above average back in the day, but my skills have diminished since Nov. 9th 2004. Pretty much a super nub now-a-days. Makes ya wish Halo 2 would have never came out =/

I was at the Halo 1 tournament in St. Cloud. Was in the final 5 and leading before I choked. Anyway ... sonofsam would have won, were it not for a few phantom rockets.

At least three of us plan on being down in Wichita in December. Bringing the pwn juice with us!

...That Guy, Shasta, one or two others from St. Cloud, MN, Mimisiku, Cupid, Blazer, Raistlin, Oddball, and maybe Monk and/or Oopey will be lanning North of Decorah, Iowa at "the G-House", a huge hunting lodge-style house that sits empty 99% of the year. The "G-House" is meant as a nice house for prospective clients of Blazer's family's upscale stock farm. A Minnesota/Iowa "Battle of the Borders" lol, more like a fun and good 'ole weekend of lanning will go down Dec. 18th-20th. My sincere apologies to Prophleet and all the guys going to Wichita. We decided that rather than drive so far we could spend that time lanning...this means we get to LAN 18 more hours that weekend! Cupid and Mimisiku and possibly Blazer will most definitely go to any of the upcoming 2010 Chicago LANs and the next big Wichita LAN in 2010. :)

I live in North Central Kansas, 45 min from the Nebraska Border. Probably no point to posting as I was a H1 campaign kid since there were not many people in the area that played Halo. I might start playing on XBC once I figure out how to set up my router. Not sure what the purpose of this thread is as LAN groups seem like they are pretty much set in stone. There really is nowhere for awful players like me to get better.
